Social marketing
How should you evaluate social media management costs? Post count is not the only standard
A monthly quote should clarify strategy, copy, design, filming, short video, engagement, advertising and analysis—not only the number of posts
The same eight posts can involve very different work
One package may format and publish copy supplied by the client. Another may include planning, interviews, writing, design, video, replies, reporting and the next round of improvements. Equal post counts do not mean equal deliverables
Public price ranges are a starting reference only; filming, video, ads, campaigns and deeper strategy are often separate
Seven conditions shape the quote
- Brand, audience and competitor research
- Rewriting supplied information versus interviewing and fact checking
- Client-supplied images, templates, new design or photography
- Short-video planning and editing
- Number of platforms and platform-specific versions
- Comments, messages, crisis response and off-hours coverage
- Reporting, review meetings and ongoing optimization
A low price can be right—if you know what it leaves out
A low-cost execution plan may be perfect when assets, copy and templates are ready. The problem is expecting an execution plan to create strategy and growth by itself
A high price is not proof of effectiveness either. Ask what happens before production, what is delivered each month, what the business must provide and how work is continued, changed or stopped
Choose the KPI before choosing the service
For basic maintenance, measure accuracy and on-time delivery. For brand understanding, review completion, saves, case-page visits and branded search. For inquiries, track contact clicks, forms, direct messages and qualified leads
A small local or B2B audience may produce fewer views while one relevant inquiry creates far more value
Five questions to ask before signing
- How is each deliverable defined
- Are materials, filming, design, video and media budget separate
- Who owns fact checking, approval, replies and urgent issues
- How are revisions, file formats and usage rights handled
- Which metrics will be reported and who recommends the next step
